Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Olonkho (operated by Techdab LLC) helps you capture one person's life story as a private family keepsake. That work involves deeply personal information, and we treat it that way. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. Who this involves

Two people matter here: you (the buyer, usually an adult child) and the storyteller (the person being interviewed, usually your parent). We collect information about both.

2. What we collect

3. Why we collect it

To conduct the interviews, craft the hardcover and audio, keep you updated on progress, take payment, and deliver the finished keepsake. That's it. We do not sell your data or the storyteller's, and we never have.

4. Consent and control of the recordings

We record interviews only with the storyteller's willing participation. They may decline any question, pause, keep things private, and they approve every chapter before it's printed. The stories belong to your family.

5. How we use AI

An AI interviewer (Eon) conducts the conversations and helps draft text from what the storyteller actually said. To do this, interview content is processed by trusted AI service providers under agreements that prohibit them from using your content to train their public models, where such terms are available. A human editor reviews the work. We never use AI to invent content or to synthesize anyone's voice.

6. Who can see it

Only the small Olonkho team (the interviewer system, the editor working on your keepsake) and the service providers we need to do the job — payment (Stripe), AI processing, and printing/audio production — each handling only what's necessary. We do not publish or share your keepsake with anyone outside your family.

7. How we protect and keep it

We store recordings and drafts securely and limit access to the people working on your project. We keep your keepsake materials so we can re-print or re-send copies for your family. You can ask us to delete the source recordings after delivery (note: this may limit future re-prints).

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what we hold about you or the storyteller, correct it, get a copy, or have it deleted, at any time — just email hello@olonkho.net. We'll honor reasonable requests promptly and as required by applicable privacy laws.

9. Children

Olonkho is for adults capturing the life of an adult (typically an aging parent). It is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

10. International note

We work with families across countries and languages. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own; we take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is handled.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows. Material changes will be posted here.
